Drawing upon humor for a change

 Can humor change  mentalities and allows  people to change their behavior in the society?
According to Donnelly  humor could help people to break laws, to get free from a "ideal" behavior.




I agree with the principle of Donnelly. Humor is a weapon which helps to pass a message  in an indirect way.
People feel less hurt when we criticize them through the humor! It is true that the  entertainments generally makes fun of human behavior in the society .The authors often try to show that we are "conditioned"("packaged") by laws of behavior.
The woman holds an important place in this speach, and I think that  humor is a spine, even when looked for  a woman!Personally, I figure that  women have much more humor and auto-mockery than men.Women have an important role in the society. They pass on values to  children. they also educate them.





In my opinion humor very important quality. I think that  humor allows to have a good glance on the world and the society.
I think that  humor does not change according to societies or according to countries but that it is rather censored in certain countries and in certain cultures.
However, it is true that an old person does not laugh at the same things than a child or a teenager. I think that this difference is also for men and women even if both sexes can laugh about the same things.

Sandra Laoura is famous because she was a champion of bump skiing. she was one of the best french acrobatic skier. Sandra won four medals in the World Cup and one medal during the Olympics games in Turin (2006).
unfortunatlt, this sport is dangerous and Sandra laoura was injured very hard. In fact, she lost the use of hes both legs in a terrible crash during the trainings in Quebec. Actually, she landed on the her back and this fall has broken two vertebrae.
In spite of the pain and the disappointment Sandra Laoura never allowed herself to bring down and  she is reconverting.

She becomes consultant for  French television channels, in particular for Channel+ and Eurosport.
Sandra Laoura is an exmple of strength and character. Dispite of her physical handicap she continues to work for her sport. Pump skiing was all its life, she(it) is going to continue to evolve in environment by lending her eye of expert.
In my opinion, she is an  example because, for example, she went to the Olympic Games in Vancouver as  a consultant. If this accident did not happended, she would be competitor and even  the favorite one. Even if it is hard for her she continues to work for her sport admirably. She's a great example for everybody. even if life strikes you, you should never giver up.

How art gives shape to cultural change

I chose the work of art which is situated at 6 minutes 04. It is about a black and white picture.  There are two monuments. the first on is a museum with white and modern colors. And  the second one is an oldest monument which shelters a cabaret of jazz. We observ the  contrast between American and African cultures. This picture shows the cohabitation of both cultures and I find it well. I like this work because I like the photography. I think the contrast is interesting at an aesthetic level and also because the meaning touches me.



 Art can change people's  vision. According to Thelma Golden, especilly prejudices on a culture. It is about the afro-American culture, the culture which tries to assert itself in the USA.
With histories history of racial hatred, prejudices, the art would allows to open the dialogue and the reflection. 
Indeed, a person is going to think that a black artist would necessarily going to show the former treatments of  black population and a "white" artist  would show the good cohabitation. Art is supposed to play of judje to get the truth. Museums have also an important role. A museum allows the transmission of a culture but also allows the artists to express their vision to the public. Furthermore museums mix the opinions, the points of view and various culture.




Consider the artists, not as the suppliers, although they are very strong in this domain, but one more time, as of real catalysts.
I agree with this quotation. The artists through their art activate and accelerates the reactions in front of subjects. A work of art allows the intercultural dialogue, the opinions would be different but the dialogue should be rich. Every artist in a way of passing on the history, its culture and the way he shares it. So we discover through the artist and  his art his vision.  He activates at once positive or negative reactions.

Cool places to hang out in Grenoble

Grenoble proposes several good restaurants. 
When I go out with my friends I often go to the Sushi bar.
I think this is a nice place. Dishes are on a conveyer travelator and we compose our own menu. It's good because the prices are affordable and makis are excellent!
To eat French meals, cheap, it is necessary to go "To Grandma Paulette"! The name is funny and the place is friendly! Many student eat there because the boss is kind and the substantial cooking! It'is the occasion to hang out between friends and spend a good moment!


I recommend you to go have a drink in the bar " The brothers Burthom " it is the bar for students in Grenoble! Happy hours beers are from 6:00 pm and are considered! Generaly it's necessary to arrive early otherwise, you should stay stand! We always find somebody  we know in there.

Otherwise I like  The Bastille to eat in the sun. The view is awsome and it is also the ocassion to to some sport by "hicking" up the hill (there is also the cable railway of course!)
I hope that I tempted you to know my favorite places  in Grenoble!

How is it doing since last time? It is always cold to Breckenridge?  Is the park still well shaped?
I am so disappointed by step to stay with you I would again like to be in the house of the happiness with all the world and to ski again and again!
 The return by plane took was fine l but I was sad! I called back to reminded me all the good moments, I laughed alone!! I am happy to find my French friends and my family because they missed me but parks in France are always so bad!! there is no  snow here and resorts cannot open all the slopes... 
I wanted to thank you for the accommodation to Breckenridge, for your cheerfulness and for all the rest! I am in love with your hamburgers and I am going to teach to my friends your games of too funny alcohol!! Haha!!
Thanks to you I discovered wonderfull places and I had fun as a lunatic! The ski was just perfect! I looked at the pictures in the plane...
Cliff you are a great cameraman guy! My sponsors are going to be great satisfied of the result! I would send you the movie when it will be finishes!



I invite you in France during summer holidays we could organize one week to Hossegor to surf all together . After we could go to Tignes, on" the glacier", it is cool to train the summer. My house is rather big to welcome you! And my mother makes of the French good cooking ^^" The tartiflette" is even better than hamburger Jeff you will see!!

I am currently a seconde year undergraduate student in  Modern letters. I wish to integrate a third year undergratuate information and a communication. I am  president of an association about ski and snow freestyle . I  also organize events. in th efutur, i would like to organize bigger events in freeski. I like skiing,snow, mountains, and the atmosphere in ski resort. I ski since my childhood, it is a huge part of my life for a long time. I also like travelling. I am actually going to Canada for a training course. I will probably stay in calgary because this country is magnificent and different from France. I wish to visit  New Zealand and in the Colorado to ski and hang out. My friends are very important to me. I spend most of my free time with them and my family. I like going out, partying, music, concerts and to live! I am fascinated by fashion and I cannot refrain from buying clothes and shoes. My mother is scandalized when she sees my cupboards I am the worse than a trendy addict and my bedside book is " The addict in the shopping "!!

I do not like  hypocrites and  liars. I also do not like opera and  silent movies.  Moring is in my opinion the hardest part of the dayespecially because of the alarm clock .I obviously prefer the evening, the night and its madnesses! 

My dream is to open a ski camp for young freeskiers and  organize big events such as the winter X Games! Uncommon for a girl not? I am one scatterbrained, a little bit crazy and another big too gullible child but I like my life simply!
